Today was a much different Kirby than even yesterday. Much more alert and walking around the room, sniffing, barking at noises and generally trying to get back to his usual routine. We asked at the end of the visit if they had discontinued one of the medications for nausea and they had so that helped him be more alert, no doubt.
We bought Burt's Bees Waterless Dog Shampoo and worked on his fur. He loves being scratched (brushed, not so much). Eventually, he was all tuckered out and snuggled on the cool floor next to Daddy. One happy little puppy family.
Tomorrow is the test for his eyes to check for SARDS and the liver
biopsy. Pray for those tests to both go well. We are praying that he
does NOT have Cushing's Disease in addition to everything else he has
already had diagnosed. Please join us in that prayer and that his liver
function will return to more normal ranges. Of course, the blessings of
all blessings would be to learn that he doesn't have SARDS and that
retina's cones and rods are not damaged beyond regeneration.
We are thankful for what God has already done and we are trusting in him for what he is about to do. Regardless of the outcome, we give God the glory for loving us and sharing one of his precious creatures with us.
